Experts in electrical technology since 1919
Electrical technology runs in our genes. We have been providing expertise in electrical connection technology since 1919. Our headquarters can be found in picturesque Bünde near Bielefeld, in the midst of an electrical engineering stronghold – Wago in Espelkamp, Wago in Minden, Phoenix Contact in Blomberg and Weidmüller in Detmold all lie within a fifty-kilometre radius of our head office. Our capability specifically in broaching has earned us a leading position on the market for turned parts in brass. Our origins lie in manufacturing terminals for PCBs or printed circuit boards, circuit breakers and electricity meters as well as neutral and protective earth rails. We also offer plugs and sockets, terminal blocks and distribution terminals, and bespoke parts for electrical engineering. We are perfectly at home with all non-ferrous metals, but we have also recently included parts in steel and aluminium in our range.
HORA eTec provides solutions in electrical engineering
We have been running an independent product segment over the years with our know-how in electric terminals. Main branch terminals, phase distribution blocks and terminal blocks for copper and aluminium conductors – we currently supply a wide range of component systems for a variety of applications in power distribution, meters, and marshalling cabinets for a variety of industries. We used to just manufacture on contract as a job shop, but we have since positioned ourselves as a system supplier in electrical engineering. We not only manufacture parts made to drawing, but also supply complete solutions from a one-stop shop.
Expertise down to the last detail
We machine cross sections ranging from 1.5 mm² to 25 mm² on PCB terminals, where threads from M1.8 to M5 are standard. Circuit breaker terminals have the largest cross sections that we machine at maximum edge dimensions of 44 x 28 x 50 mm and thread sizes of up to M20.
Finishing processes such as blasting, vibratory grinding and thermal annealing round off our range of processes. We provide custom solutions to specification in screw mounting. Whether power distribution, building services engineering or automation, our products and components – including electrical terminals, sockets, pin terminals and terminal blocks – can be found in every electrical engineering specialisation.
Global network for sales and procurement
We distribute electric components developed by HORA eTec via global distribution partners. and our own sales offices. We have been independent players on the market since autumn 2017 after being sold by our long-standing parent company, the Leipold Group.
